Reston Drop-In Center Newsletter March 11, 2012
Dear Readers,
This is a little late in coming but hope all of you are having a great new year.
First of all I would like to thank our many vendors for allowing us through their generous donations
to have another great holiday season. Some of the vendors are Clyde's, Trader Joe's, Walmart, Sam's Club and Whole Foods. Without their donations we would not have nearly as good a party. Also good things are happening at the center. We are starting a gift basket business to generate revenue for the center. The workers will be populations in work skills so that they may be ready to join the workforce again. The business is called "Gift Baskets Unique" there is a lot of work to do but hopefully it will be a successful venture.
You may order by calling us at 571-313-1411. We aren't set up yet but will also be using online ordering system in the near future. We will be accepting Discover, AMEX, Visa and MC. It's an exciting time for the center and a big step as well.
We are asking for volunteers to help assemble baskets until we can raise a budget for the business. It would be a great item on any resume in the future.
The center is also having an Open House and inviting business executives and other potential buyers in the hopes that they will help us raise money for our venture or order baskets from us.
The winter has been awesome and I hope you have enjoyed it as much as I have. Be careful now that spring has sprung and be aware of kids in the streets. It's very easy to miss them.
Our sincere thanks to all of your support and hope you have a great summer.
Sincerely,
Elaine Weadon
